And now the end is near...

Dear fans,

Since its opening in July 2005, Tropical Habbo had one aim - to be the alternative fan site. It took a lot of time, but we eventually achieved that status. It wasn't until late 2006 that I started to realise just how incredibly popular Tropical had become. By mid-2007 we had transformed into the mainstream - a position we were never supposed to reach. For a period of time, it was exciting...but it was also very difficult. It's not possible to entertain thousands of teens with daily updates and regular fresh content and it's certainly not possible to do so when your staff are such busy socialites in real life! Nevertheless, we pushed on and I'm glad we did.

To all of the creative young people who helped along the way, thank you. I can't name you all but you know who you are. I appreciate the time you spent, the skills you contributed, the talents you displayed. I've made friendships with amazing people whom I will never forget.

Most importantly, thank you to you, the fans. You made Tropical Habbo the success that it was.
